Britain's
official professional 9 ball pool tour
GB9 is proudly sponsored by
Barceló Hotels, SAM Leisure, Simonis
Cloth and Aramith Billiard Balls making the perfect combination of the
very best
equipment in the most outstanding venues. |

 |
|
-
The GB9 season runs from January to December.
-
The tour is open to men,
ladies and juniors aged 14 and above (including
wheelchair players).
-
GB9
is a closed tour and we do not offer open events. Generally
only registered tour players who have committed to playing the full
season and paying the annual fee will be able to play in our events.
-
Players joining the tour will pay an annual fee in instalments.
covering all entry, membership and administration costs for the
whole year.
-
Non members are not able to play at tour stops unless they are on
the reserve list and they have been
contacted by GB9 to advise that a spare place
has become available.
-
There
are five tour stops each season all played in 4 star hotels on the
world's best equipment.
-
We
play to a pre-published match schedule
starting Friday evening and finishing on Sunday evening.
-
Match
times are published before the tournament so you can plan your
travel arrangements.
-
3
single knockout tournaments are held at each tour stop with all
players entered into 2 of these so all players have at least 2
chances to win.
- 16 players make up the Pro Division and
compete against each other in the Pro Cup. This is a double
elimination event to the money stage, then single elimination to a
finish.
- The
remaining 128 players make up the Challenge Division
and compete against each other in the Challenge Cup (single
elimination).
- All
144 tour players compete in the main event (single elimination).
- In addition to this there is a midnight flyer after the close of
tournament play on Friday night and on Sunday we run the Plate,
which is open to friends and spectators and all tour players who do not make
it to the last 32 stage of the main event.
-
All
tournaments are seeded offering an added
incentive to improve your ranking.
-
The
Pro Division attracts slightly higher entry fees
but offers bigger prize money and is
the place all Challenge Division players should aspire to be.
-
Prize
money is guaranteed* (*see Prize money
for details)
-
The
ranking and
seeding system offer valuable incentives
for players of all abilities.
The Tour Committee reserve the right to amend the format,
regulations, match schedule and prize structure at any time without
prior notice. However, we do not currently envisage having to make
significant changes to these proposals. If we do make any changes
we will endeavour to update this website promptly and if it is a
significant change we will also make an announcement on the
Pro9 website. |
