-
The tour is strictly limited to
128 players.
-
Players joining the tour will pay an annual fee in 4 instalments
covering all entry, membership and administration costs for the
whole year (see Join the tour> 2008 entry
details).
-
Non members are not able to play at tour stops (exceptions may apply
where registered tour players are unable to attend specific events).
-
There will be a total of six tour stops spread
evenly through the North, South, and Midlands.
-
All venues will have a minimum of 16 tables.
-
We
play to a pre-published match schedule
starting Friday evening and finishing on Sunday evening.
-
Match
times for Friday and Saturday will be published in advance so you can plan your
travel arrangements. Where possible those whose home address
is furthest from the venue will be given priority over the latest
Friday night match times to allow more time for travelling.
-
3 single elimination
events will be run at
each tour stop with all players entered into 2 of these so all
players have at least 2 chances to win. In addition to this
there will be a Sunday flyer open to all players who do not make
it to the final stages of the main event.
-
32 players will make up the Pro Division and
will compete against each other in the Pro cup.
-
96 players will make up the Challenge Division
and will compete against each other in the Challenge cup.
-
All
128 players will play in the main event with the top 32 players
seeded through to the last 64 stage (round 3), players ranked 33-64
seeded through to round 2 and the lowest ranked players playing in
round 1.
-
The
Pro Division attracts higher entry fees
but offers bigger prize money.
-
All
matches will be race to 9, alternate break except the finals, which
will be race to 11.
-
Players winning 2 or 3 matches (depending on your ranking / seeding) in any of the 3
events will
be in the
prize money.
-
The
last 64 of the main event will be
played on Sunday along with an optional flyer (subject to additional entry fee).
-
A
ranking system will be used not only
to seed
match draws but also to guarantee your place on the tour next season and
determine which division you will play in next season.
